Folks - although I an extremely late arrival to the World of Unkle Roger, I can tell you that, at least from an out-of-towner's perspective, it is a thrill and an inspiration to see this outpouring of love continue for your Unk.

Never underestimate your musical gifts, he knew them well :)

Peace, Love, and Long Live Rog!

Thank-you for doing this for Unk! God, he was so cool and always made my heart smile! I would talk to him for hours after the bar closed while Danny and his brother were playing backgammon. He'd play Blondie and B52's and Devo and let me win a few contests, too..(oops) Then when I really did win one, where he would come down to the arcade and dj a party for me...I asked him how I would know him..he said "I'll probably be the only black person there...how will I know you?" I'll be the shortest person there! lLisa , insert your part of this story! Anyways, to all Long Live Unk in our hearts! I Miss You, Unk

How nice to see the first entry of such loving words from Denise. Very well said Denise! I pray that your heart heals soon! As I have told you before, thank you for loving my dear friend the way you have for so many years. Without your love Rog would not have been the man we knew and love. May you find peace soon. XOXOXO

It has been an abosolute honor working with Jeff and others on the tribute we are planning. We look forward to working with you and Jason on the summer concert. (to be announced soon!)

Thank you Jeff Cosco for the thought and time you have put into this site. Is there anything you can't do? What fun it will be to read the many memories that will fill this guestbook.

Dearest Jeff,

When Lisa called me this evening, I just had to go to my computer while I had her on the phone so I could see Unkie's web site for myself. What a wonderful tribute! So very bittersweet. You did an amazing job and I love it!

In addition to Roger's passion for music and helping the local musicians get a leg up, he also had a passion for making a difference in the world...the part of the world he thought he could affect at least. This is why he chose to become a landlord in the Susan B. Anthony area. He recognized a need..and tried to bring solutions to it. He wanted to show this city that people can change when someone cares. Not every landlord is a "slum" lord, and that everyone has a situation that deserves some patience and understanding. He wasn't just a landlord..he was a friend. I remember him bringing our bottles and cans, used clothing and other household items to his tenants who were in need. I KNOW he made a difference. This is the legacy he has left me...one which I intend to carry on in his memory...keeping him alive in this way.

Saying "thank you" is such a simple phrase to tell someone who has done as much as you and Lisa have done for us. I can only offer my help with love for any projects you may have coming up. It's time for all of us to be strong and continue down the path that he so boldly and lovingly cleared for us.
God Bless you so much!

Love,
Denise
