My cousin just tipped me
off to this site, and it looks great. It's a
nice tribute to Rog, and I hope it consoles
his family. I worked with him from 1987-88
when I was a market researcher at WCMF. I
also jammed with him several times at Rumors
and Friends and Players, and did a number of
shows with The Fugitives when he was their
bass-player. I'll always remember him as
witty, fun, unpretentious and always willing
to share info about the radio and music
scene. I also particularly remember how he
acted as late-nite counselor to many a
caller to his show. I still remember how he
told me the one thing he always urged young
people to do was to stay in high school and
read, because so many kids were set back by
a lack of education.
I hope his family is doing well, and Rog,
wherever you are, my prayers are with you.

with me late at night teaching me about
music. i am forever in his debt. my funny
unk moment is when he hung up on me for
calling david lee roth a flying asshole. to

I didn't have a chance to
get to know Unk the way a lot of you did. I
do however remember him taking the time to
sit and talk with me in regards to the local
music scene even though I was not a
musician. He always took the time. He was a
kind and generous man who truely touched the
lives of all those he met. He will be
greatly missed.

I feel a need to respond
to Lorraine, aka "Lorayne339@aol.com"s
message.
I realize that his estranged family probably
did love him, however, I have given them all
the information I have including the direct
phone numbers to the investigator who is
handling his case so they may have any
updates on the progress which unfortunatly
at this time is nothing. The reason why
Lorraine was capable of posting a message on
this bulletin board is because I gave her
the link. I had no clue she was going to
make a plea for help or information in here
and I apologize for that as it was
completely unnecessary. Just to set the
record straight, there was NO robbery!!
Lorraine evidently heard me say that it was
a suspected attempted robbery but even that
is in question as Roger's wallet was still
in his pocket at the time of the assault.
If ANYONE has any questions regarding
Unkie's case..please feel free to email me
and I will let you know all that I can.
Thank you everyone.
Love, Denise

Ok...yes it's me again.
I'm posting to offer a kind of fun challenge
to all who visit or have visited.
Since I would, and I'm sure others would
also, like to keep this bulletin board in a
positive mode, I'm challenging everyone to
post their most commical memory of my Unkie.
We all know what an amazing sense of humor
he had and I know that stays with us
still...so...let's share the good feelings!
I have too many to choose from so I'll have
to think on it for a while...but
please...everyone...have fun with this!
Love,
Denise

I used to intern at CMF
back in 98-99. I used to go to the Penny
Arcade with Uncle Rog. Man, was he a trip. I
would laugh my ass off the entire time I was
there. On Halloween of 98, I wore an afro to
the arcade. He wouldn't let me live it down.
He was an awesome person.

(part 2)
John "the midnight" Mayor...Yikes! How
wonderful to hear from you and thank you
soooooooo much for writing such a great
memory! We've thought of you often and
wondered how you are. Now we know...you look
amazing and I hope it's a reflection of how
your life is going.
I could write pages and pages of thanks in
here but it would never be enough for all
everyone has said and done. We can't thank
you all enough.
Now that I know I can look at this with
smiles and composure...well...for the most
part anyway...I assure everyone who comes to
visit that I will keep you posted on any
developments in Roger's case. I've resorted
to a couple of "unconventional" methods of
perhaps finding who did this to my
baby...but I'm confident that this sick
excuse of a human being WILL BE CAUGHT! I
just need all of you to have as much faith
as Jason and I do regarding this. I thank
you in advance.
Please feel welcome to email me or post
messages to Jason or myself on this
beautiful site. We will be reading it on a
regular basis.
God Bless you all,
Love,
Denise
